Embrace the time-savers
Your Christmas feast can be quite the feat. Skip making everything from scratch and embrace going to some local businesses and order some of your Christmas foods. You can save a lot of time by getting the classic pumpkin pie from a local bakery or by ordering a cooked turkey instead of baking your own. Stick to making those special dishes only you can make and let some other experts handle the rest.
Calm the playful puppy
A tired pooch is a calm pooch. Instead of having your dog barking and excited to see your guests tire them out. Take your dog outside for some intense playtime and treat them with a toy that dispenses treats (like a Kong) before your guests arrive.
Put the fa-la-la in your playlist
Turning on your favorite playlist and relaxing or having an impromptu dance fest is a great mood boost. Make gift wrapping fun! Turn on some of your favorite Christmas movies, pour a glass of your favorite holiday drink, and enjoy some sweet Christmas treats. Have all the bow, labels, and tape ready to conquer the gift pile. Instead of seeing wrapping as another holiday chore, take the time to enjoy yourself by making it fun.
